Round table “Occupational health. Healthy people — healthy economy. Aspects of sanatoria and health resorts facilities for working population in Russia”
December 5th, 2017, within the framework of International scientific and practical forum “Russian Week of Healthcare” there were held the International exhibition MedTravelExpo and Round table “Occupational health. Healthy people — healthy economy. Aspects of sanatoria and health resorts facilities for working population in Russia” co-organizer of which were Occupational Health Physicians and Specialists Association and FSBSI “Izmerov Research Institute of Occupational Health”.
The experience of holding such events within the framework of Russian Week of Healthcare already exists, but organization of the exhibition was a new one. Last year two international seminars on the most topical issues of domestic occupational pathology were held under the auspices of European Regional Committee of the WHO regional office for Europe — detection, course and registration of occupational diseases. It was useful and informative first of all from the point of view of correlation of foreign and domestic approaches to these problems. Leading foreign and domestic experts in this sphere of medical science were invited. As a result there was a lively, exceptionally professional and interesting discussion.
This experience was used this year too. Round table was devoted to the aspects of providing facilities in sanatoria and health resorts for people working in adverse and harmful conditions. It is good that this Round table took place in parallel with the exhibition MedTravelExpo which substantiated theoretical dogmas of the event.
It was a constructive conversation of all parties interested in this problem — first of all the employer, Social Insurance Fund as well as sanatoria and health resort institutions. The speeches of RAS Academician A. Razumov, RAS Corresponding Member I. Bukhtiyarov, Professor E. Poteryaeva (Novosibirsk) and N. Roslaya (Ekaterinburg) were wonderful. The speech of L. Kudilina, representative of the RF Social Insurance Fund and deputy head of occupational risks insurance department.
