The international scientific conference “Actual problems of ophthalmology”
On April 28, 2018 in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the international scientific conference “Actual problems of ophthalmology” was held, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of academician Zarifa Aliyeva. This event is not the first time. At a similar event, held 5 years ago, the delegation from our Institute included Nikolai Izmerov and Evgeny Shigan.
Zarifa Aliyeva was an outstanding ophthalmologist of Azerbaijan, director of the Center for Ophthalmology, academician of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences. Her writings also touched upon the issues of professional ophthalmology, many times she came to our Institute, she also conducted research work at the Institute’s Clinic on the 9th ulitsa Sokolinoi Gori.
This year, a presentation from our Institute was made by Luidmila Kuzmina.
