First Global Conference on Air Pollution and Health Protection “Improving air quality, combating climate change — saving lives”

The Russian delegation led by Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation S.А. Krai took part in the First Global Conference on Air Pollution and Health Protection “Improving air quality, combating climate change — saving lives”, which was held under the auspices of the World Health Organization from October 30 to November 1, 2018 in Geneva.

In his speech at the meeting of the high level group S.A. The regional noted that in the Russian Federation operates a strict system of sanitary and hygienic regulation, based on scientifically based data, which is constantly being improved. Among other problems, the conference addressed the problems of the adverse effects of air pollution on workers, including those working outdoors. There is an urgent need to expand research in this direction. The main contributor to the conference was the Russian delegation E.V. Kovalevsky.
